Serbia Avg Net Wage up in April

Serbia's average net wage rose by a real 9.8% year-on-year to RSD 96,614 (EUR 825) in April, following an annual increase of 8% in March, the Belgrade-based Central Statistics Office (RBS) said on Tuesday.

On a monthly comparison basis, the average net wage fell by 1% in real terms in April, after rising by 2.7% in March, the statement said.

The average gross wage totaled RSD 133,356 in April, up by an annual 9.8% and down by a monthly 0.7% in real terms. Median net salaries for April amounted to RSD 73,928 (EUR 631).

In April, the average net wage in the public sector stood at RSD 101,031, while outside the public sector averaged RSD 94,836.
