Student Worker Wages Climb 14%

The average wage for student workers rose 14% to HUF 2,050 in January-April from the same period a year earlier, staffing company Trenkwalder said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Students looking for summer jobs can earn an average HUF 1,800 per hour in the catering and tourism sectors, HUF 1,900/hour for administrative or office work.
Student workers can earn as much as HUF 2,000/hour for jobs in manufacturing, logistics, and commerce, data from the ELTE-Trenkwalder students cooperative show.
Students hired as summer help at call centers can earn HUF 2,100/hour.
