Investment Performance Falls Significantly in Q1
The volume of investments was 9.6% lower according to raw data in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
According to seasonally adjusted data, investment performance in the national economy fell by 9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The largest contributors to the fall in investment were the sections of real estate activities, manufacturing, transportation and storage, and agriculture. The decline was moderated by rising investment activity in public administration as well as in wholesale and retail trade.
Compared with the previous quarter, on the basis of seasonally adjusted data, the value of investments fell by 3.6% at comparable prices.
