Lithuania Producer Prices Return to Growth in May

Producer prices in Lithuania rose by 0.2% year-on-year in May, rebounding from a downwardly revised 0.7% fall in the previous month, data from the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania (LS) on Tuesday show.
It was the first growth in producer prices after thirteen consecutive months of deflation, boosted by rebounds in prices for manufacturing (0.6% vs -0.2% in April).
Moreover, costs fell at softer pace for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (-2.2% vs -4.4%) and water supply (-3% vs -4.1%).
Meanwhile, prices fell further for mining & quarrying (-1.1% vs -0.5%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices tumbled 1.3% in May, reversing an upwardly revised 0.1% growth in the prior month.
