The prices of summer camps have increased by an average of 10-15%, so the average cost of a day camp is slightly over HUF 50,000, while families have to pay an average of HUF 80,000 for an overnight camp, according to data from taborfigyelo.hu.

The average prices of the camps can vary by up to 10% per region.

The website said that the number of children attending camps has decreased somewhat.

Compared to last year's record number of 230,000 participants, it expects 215,000 campers in 2024.

The main reason is that the summer vacation has become a week shorter, so this year, children are only on vacation for 10 weeks.
