Prospects of Hungarian Feed Industry Favorable This Year
The prospects for the Hungarian feed industry in 2024 are favorable, according to the announcement of agricultural company group UBM, writes profitline.hu.
The decreases experienced in 2022 and 2023 may be followed by a rebound this year.
With an expected increase of nearly 20%, domestic feed production volume could reach around four million tons this year.
According to the announcement, the Hungarian feed industry primarily serves domestic needs, even though certain sectors of animal husbandry, especially the poultry sector, are particularly export-oriented.
Only roughly 5% of all feed produced here, 150,000-250,000 tons per year, is exported, primarily to Romania.
