Orbán, Erdogan to Meet in Budapest on Aug 20

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Türkiye, will pay an official visit to Budapest at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on August 20, the PM's press chief said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The sides will discuss security, the defense industry, and economic matters, Bertalan Havasi said.

Preparations will also be made for the next meeting of the Hungarian-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council to be held in Budapest at the end of the year, he added.
