Hungary Trade Surplus Grows in April

Hungary's external trade in goods surplus reached EUR 1.8 billion in April 2024, with the growth of exports outpacing that of imports, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports amounted to EUR 12.5 bln and that of imports to EUR 10.7 bln.

The share of EU member states was 76% in exports and 75% in imports.

The value of exports increased by 8.8%, and that of imports decreased by 3.5% in EUR terms.

Compared to March 2024, the export of goods increased by 1.7%, its import by only 0.1%.
