Trade Surplus at EUR 1.1 bln in May

The surplus of Hungary's external trade in goods amounted to EUR 1.1 billion in May 2024. Its level decreased by 5% on the export side and by 0.2% on the import one, month-on-month, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.9 bln and that of imports to EUR 10.8 bln.
The balance of the external trade in goods was EUR 1.1 bln.
The share of EU member states was 76% in exports and 72% in imports.
Compared to Max 2023, the value of exports decreased by 8.8%, and that of imports decreased by 9% in EUR terms.
