Hungary Gas Stores Enough for 82% of Annual Retail Consumption

Gas volume in storage facilities in Hungary reached 3.25 bln cubic meters on August 1, according to a report by Hungarian news agency MTI.
The amount in storage is currently enough for 82% of annual household consumption, the Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Office (MEKH) said on Friday.
Gas volume was 920 million cubic meters over the threshold required by a European Union directive, MEKH said.
The gas storage facilities were 51.3% full on August 1, the report says.
