Hungary Gasoline Prices 3% Over Regional Avg

Gasoline prices in Hungary stand 3.2% over the regional average, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Friday show.

The average price for 95-octane gasoline in Hungary reached HUF 640/liter, compared to the HUF 620/liter regional average, KSH said, based on the EU Weekly Oil Bulletin. 

The price of diesel in Hungary stood at HUF 654/liter, some 5% over the HUF 623/liter regional average.

National Economy Minister Márton Nagy said KSH would launch the fuel price monitor after warning representatives of local petroleum companies to make good on their commitment to keep fuel prices level with the regional average at a meeting about a week earlier.
