Citing figures from the National Tourism Data Service Centre (NTAK), the ministry said that the number of foreign visitors increased 38% in the period.
Meanwhile, the number of domestic travellers rose 20pc during the period between Maundy Thursday and Easter Monday.
Visitors spent over 700,000 guest nights at tourism accommodations.
Revenue of tourism accommodations climbed 28% close to HUF 19 bln, according to the report.
