The event will also celebrate XpatLoop’s 26th anniversary.

Held in the Dorothea Hotel ballroom, the all-inclusive gala will feature live entertainment, a virtual bonfire and fireworks display, prize games, live and silent charity auctions, a raffle and a DJ set. Organizers also promise new special effects. Confirmed VIP guests include Antónia Mészáros, executive director of UNICEF Hungary.

Master of ceremonies Hans Peterson will host the evening alongside TV personality Zsuzsa Demcsák. Together, they will lead the live auction, announce silent auction winners, and conduct the raffle with the UNICEF Hungary team.

All funds raised will support three Hungarian charities: • UNICEF Hungary: The national branch of the United Nations agency providing humanitarian and development assistance to children. • Rászoruló Fiatalok: This non-profit works to address emotional abuse affecting children under 18 and supports other local charities helping children in need. • Heartfelt English: Provides free English lessons to disadvantaged young people ages 12 and older who live or have lived in children’s homes, helping them prepare for the C1 Advanced English exam.

The virtual bonfire and fireworks pay tribute to Britain’s annual Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night. Observed on Nov. 5, the tradition commemorates the failed 1605 Gunpowder Plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London.
