One-quarter of Hungarians plan to spend on energy efficiency

A total of 24% of Hungarians plan to make energy-efficiency investments, climate-policy institute Energiaklub told MTI on Tuesday, citing an organizational survey. Energiaklub said that more than half of Hungarians who expect to make such investments plan to purchase insulation. A total of 40% of Hungarians plan to make energy-efficiency investments in order to cut energy costs, while 35% plan to make such investments because their current equipment and fittings have broken down or are no longer functioning properly. The organization said that 15% of Hungarians plan to make energy-efficiency investments within the next year, while 24% plan to make such investments within three years.
