KSH Dismisses Reports of Eurostat 'Investigation'

Hungary's Central Statistical Office (KSH) said press reports that Eurostat may have launched an investigation of its practices were incorrect in a statement issued on Friday, state news wire MTI reports.
"As regards statistical methodology, it is important to note that Eurostat is in constant consultation with the statistical offices of all Member States, in accordance with international standards, legislation and past practice," KSH said.
"It is also essential that the methodology of [KSH] is in line with the European Statistical Directives (in particular the European Commission Implementing Regulation 2020/1148 and Eurostat's HICP Methodological Manual)," it added.
