Loan contracts with a value of HUF 183.4 billion have been signed from a HUF 200 bln top-up for subsidized corporate credit under the Gábor Baross Reindustrialization Program, Magyar Eximbank said this week.

The total number of contracts was 784: 107 for HUF 156 bln of investment credit and 677 for HUF 27.4 bln of leasing credit. The top-up, available from Jan. 15, was quickly exhausted.

The new Gábor Baross credit was available with rates capped at 5% for forint loans and 3% for euro loans. About 80% of the applications were for euro-based credit. Around 46% of approved applications were from SMEs.

The Gábor Baross Reindustrialization Program was launched in February 2023, with an initial allocation of HUF 1 trillion.
