Heavy rains will ease the drought this week, according to an agrometeorological analysis by HungaroMet Zrt.

According to the announcement, the soil near the surface is already extremely dry.

With the exception of the southwestern part of the country and Szamosköz and Krasznaköz, it contains less than 30% of the usable moisture for plants in many places.

The middle soil layer has also lost a lot of its moisture content in the past week, the analysis noted.
