The three-month nationwide survey of 600 products from more than 200 producers also showed that 16% of bread failed to meet quality requirements, mainly because of the quality of flour used.

About 8% of bread was found to weigh less than the amount displayed on the attached label or packaging, 26% contained more than the recommended amount of salt and 41% failed to meet other technical requirements. Only 3% of producers used no additives in their bread. (Mti-Eco)
