The survey indicates that these groups weigh their purchases more carefully and plan their expenses more systematically than other demographics.
Among respondents, 75% reported a monthly income of up to HUF 600,000, while 25% live on HUF 250,000 or less. Seventy-two percent were over 35 years old, and 87% said they spend cautiously or in a balanced manner. Despite this caution, 57% admitted they are more likely to make a purchase when offered a discount or promotion, and 32% occasionally regret buying unnecessary items.
The data suggest that lower- and average-income consumers plan their spending far more deliberately than wealthier groups. Árukereső.hu provides tools and comparison options to help them make the best financial decisions.
Meanwhile, the numbers also hint that younger and higher-income consumers are more prone to impulse purchases. For younger respondents with less stable financial backgrounds, impulsive spending can be riskier, whereas for wealthier groups it mostly reflects greater financial security.
András Szták, CEO, Árukereső.hu, said, “Hungarian shoppers are generally very conscious in how they spend, but the data also show that everyone is tempted by discounts. Árukereső aims to ensure that buyers can always find the best prices and offers, supporting conscious decision-making, regardless of age or income.”
