Hungarian gas storage facilities held 2.7 bln cubic meters of gas reserves at January 15, Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) told Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday.
MEKH said that because of mild weather average gas usage in October-November 2018 had been lower than in the same periods in previous years.
In December 2018 gas usage jumped as temperatures fell and daily average usage was around 7% higher than in December 2017.
MEKH confirmed that with imports, domestic production and already stored reserves current gas volume is enough to cover the 2018/2019 winter consumption.
