Fornetti to deliver bakery to Germany in weeks

Hungarian bakery business Fornetti, which was acquired by Swiss peer Aryzta last year, expects to launch its first deliveries to Germany in the next three weeks, managing director Sebastian Gooding said in a press statement today, according to reports.

The director said the company is planning to strengthen its position on both domestic and foreign markets. The company foresees a revenue growth of approximately 10% this year, as compared to the 12% growth or HUF 25 billion last year, the statement said, according to reports.

The company, has 1,800 “in-store bakeries” and a network of some 2,900 franchise partners and has made 200 new hires in the past half year, chiefly in Hungary. Fornetti expects to undertake an approximately HUF 1 bln development plan in the upcoming 12-18 months, according to reports.

Fornetti employs more than 970 people in Hungary, at its bases in Kecskemét and Kiskunfélegyháza, and almost 500 at bases in Romania and Bulgaria, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
