A previous contract for the Zalahús property fell through because the buyer, Jogingatlan Kft, declined to assume costs associated with remedying environmental damage and disposing of hazardous waste at the plant, Napi Gazdaság said, citing Márta Péter, an executive at liquidator Vectigalis Zrt.
Vectigalis is now asking Ft 1.2 billion for the property, down form an original asking price of Ft 2 billion.
Jogingatlan had reportedly offered Ft 850 million.
