Transport-Beton on Friday inaugurated a HUF 246m plant that makes acid-resistant containers for the food, chemicals and bioethanol industries in Tatabanya (NW Hungary).

The company won a HUF 100m grant for the project, managing director Zoltán Harmath told MTI.

Transport-Beton expects the plant to generate average annual revenue of HUF 350m over the next 15 years. Sixteen people will work at the plant.

The plant already has its first order, a HUF 113m delivery to a vintner in the Eger wine-growing region, and the company is in talks with a potential business partner in Austria, Harmath said.

Transport-Beton has annual revenue of about HUF 1.3 billion at present, well under the HUF 3.2 billion before the crisis.
