Mabio submitted a patent application for the plant design to the Hungarian Patent Office at the beginning of the month, Nemes said. The plants, to be built in Csabacsűd and Szabadszállás, in Hungary, and Dorohoi, in Romania, will start operation between 2010 and 2012. Mabio has spent about Ft 800 million ($4.65 million) to purchase the plots on which to build the plants, and it has already started applying for permits for the plant in Csabacsűd, which will cost €107 million (about $164 million) to build. From 2010, Mabio expects the plants to generate turnover of €75 million ($115 million), calculating with current market prices. It expects to recoup its investment at the plants in eight years.
