According to the report, the media authority will support six news, eight cultural and nine public TV programs for a year. The winners of the tender include Régió TV Esztergom, Debrecen Televízió, Somogy TV and Rábaközi Televízió. Since 2011, the media authority has supported 384 TV channels in the amount of HUF 1,74 bln.
The report noted that the media authority fined TV2 HUF 5.3 mln after the TV channel failed on seventy-one counts to broadcast television programs in original language with Hungarian subtitles. According to the Hungarian media law, the most frequently watched TV channels, such as TV2 and RTL are obligated to make one-quarter of their dubbed programs available in original language for broadcast between 7-11 PM.
The NMHH also fined M2 HUF 120.000 for a 6.6% decrease in Hungarian television programs.
