EC Acknowledges Pécs for Steps to Achieve Climate Neutrality
The European Commission acknowledged Pécs for its plans to achieve climate neutrality with the award of the EU Mission Label on Thursday, state news wire MTI reports.
Pécs was acknowledged with 22 other cities part of the EU Mission for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, one of the EU Missions under Horizon Europe.
The other cities were Ioannina, Kalamata, Kozani, Thessaloniki (Greece), Heidelberg (Germany), Leuven (Belgium), Espoo, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Tampere, Turku (Finland), Barcelona, Seville (Spain), Malmo (Sweden), Guimaraes, Lisbon (Portugal), Florence, Parma (Italy), Marseille, Lyon (France), Limassol (Cyprus) and Izmir (Turkiye).
