The Ministry of Energy said in a post on its Facebook page that the rapid expansion of solar capacities has led to more than 4,200 MW of operational industrial solar plants, indicating that new peak values are imminent.
Notably, Monday marked the first instance where the Hungarian Electricity Transmission System Operator Private Limited Company (Mavir Zrt.) recorded total solar production, including industrial, household, and self-generating units, exceeding 4,000 MW.
It peaked at about 4,016 MW over four quarter-hour intervals.
