Hungary Gas Stores 98% Full

Energy Trade

Hungary's gas stores are 98% full, Energy Affairs Minister Csaba Lantos said in a post on social media on Friday, after a meeting of an operative corps set up earlier to support government measures during the energy crisis.

Gas volume in the stores stands at 6.5 billion cubic meters, enough to meet about two-thirds of annual demand, Lantos said.

He noted that gas consumption in the gas year ended September 30 reached 8.3 bln cubic meters, down about one-fifth from the same period a year earlier.
