In the first half of 2025, Yettel achieved a Speed Score of 74.35, backed by an average download speed of 228.5 Mbps and upload speeds of 31.29 Mbps, based on more than 435,000 tests.
At the Sziget Festival, where more than 400,000 visitors attended, mobile usage peaked during headline performances, with voice calls up 20% and data traffic rising by 10% on the busiest day.
Notably, data carried on Yettel’s 5G network rose sharply from last year, with downloads up 15% and uploads more than 35%. The company reinforced coverage at the festival grounds with 31 extra network sectors to ensure smooth connectivity.
At the Balaton Cross-Swimming event, which drew more than 10,000 participants, voice calls surged 70% at the start line, and conversations lasted more than twice as long as usual.
Yettel has invested nearly HUF 100 billion in network upgrades since 2020, and now operates more than 1,000 5G base stations nationwide.
