In the January to September period, full-time employees’ average gross nominal earnings according to the national concept amounted to HUF 227,500; within this, those of full-time employees in the business sector were equal to HUF 238,100. Average gross earnings at budgetary institutions without fostered workers were HUF 223,000. Average gross earnings of fostered workers were HUF 77,100.
In the national economy, average gross nominal earnings grew by 3.6% y.o.y. in the business sector. In the public sector, average gross earnings increased by 5.3% without the effect of the changing proportion of fostered workers. In non-profit institutions, average gross earnings rose by 3.3% to HUF 208,000.
At the top of the ranking by the nominal value of earnings were financial and insurance activities (HUF 471,600 gross per month per employee), followed by information and communication (HUF 425,600) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (HUF 391,900). At bottom were accommodation and food service activities (HUF 145,400), human health and social work activities (HUF 154,800) and agriculture, forestry and fishing (HUF 165,500).
