The 2024 program of the National R&D&I Fund has been cleared by the National Science Policy Council, Culture and Innovation Minister János Csák said in a message posted on social media on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Csák said HUF 147 bln had been earmarked for the program this year, HUF 60 bln more than in 2023.

That money will go to three areas: businesses, support for researcher careers, and research and mobility programs for university students, he added.

The goal is to put Hungary among the top 10 innovators in Europe by 2030, he said.
