Close to 20% of Hungarian homes could undergo renovation in the coming year, according to a representative survey of homeowners by economic research institute GKI and building materials company Masterplast, according to novekedes.hu.

The survey, conducted quarterly, suggests almost 800,000 homes could be renovated in the next 12 months, 100,000 more than indicated by the survey conducted during the same period a year prior.

Around 4% of respondents said they were "certain" to renovate and 15.7% said they would "probably" renovate in the next year.
