Demand for holiday and residential properties on the southern shore of Lake Balaton and around Lake Tisza increased the most between January and April, up 86% in the former area and 76% in the latter, according to data from ingatlan.com, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

The explosion of demand at Lake Balaton is not surprising in the light of the trends of the previous year, and Lake Tisza is becoming more popular due to its excellent infrastructure, developed motorway connections, and lower prices compared to other resort areas, László Balogh, the leading economic expert of ingatlan.com, said.
