This brought the fund’s total assets under management to HUF 25 bln. The private placement, which closed on June 26, was executed within the closed-ended Realis 3 Fund, offering outstanding return potential.
With interests across the office, residential, and hotel markets, Realis Wam enters the regional development market with this capital raise, backed by growing investor confidence. The funds raised will finance the construction of a premium-quality, 109-unit residential building in the heart of Debrecen, at Piac utca 59, under the name The Apollo. The project takes its name from the iconic Apollo Cinema, founded in 1912 and located within the same city block.
“The project will be realised in the very centre of the city, on a site that has been in a state of neglect for 20 years, with the professional restoration of the protected façade of the Piac Street section. Debrecen is characterised by the emergence of a contemporary architectural language that, as a result of its uniquely dynamic development, blends well with the city’s architectural heritage. Our new development will follow suit: through carefully crafted internal massing, we will create a tree-lined garden with an exceptionally high green space ratio of 45% — remarkable for a city centre location,” said Mihály Schrancz, CEO and founding partner of Realis Wam.
Realis 3 Fund is a strong reflection of REALIS WAM’s development philosophy: creating high-quality, distinctly characterful buildings in prime locations that go beyond financial value creation to shape the built environment in a meaningful and sustainable way, while also elevating its aesthetic, architectural, and cultural standards.
Operating as the fund management arm of the REALIS Group, REALIS WAM has a stable ownership background and currently manages assets sourced 45% from private investors and 55% from institutional investors. Real estate development activities on behalf of the Fund are carried out by REALIS Development. Driven by its dynamic growth and increasing investor confidence, the group plans to expand its range of services in the future.
