The former headquarters of Raiffeisen Bank has undergone complete renovation to serve as Convergence’s Academia office building, and is now approaching the day of its handover.

On the occasion of Academia’s renewal, the developer set the goal of promoting the physical and mental well-being of employees working in the building and creating the highest possible level of professional working environment. The 12,500 sqm office building has undergone a transformation and is nearing handover to welcome tenants and guests.

The execution of the ideas was envisioned with Buildext, who provides architectural and interior design solutions in the region, equipped with the technology to handle such projects.

Real Estate Certifications

In the meantime, the complex has obtained the WiredScore-Gold certification, and it will soon display multiple other green certifications in the real estate sector, such as Breeam, Well, and Access4you, the developer tells the Budapest Business Journal.

The Danube riverside lobby, located in the classical wing, has been refitted with new flooring and wall coverings, while the ceiling received a custom-made copper-colored covering. The machinery has been upgraded and energy-efficient LED lighting has been installed.

Lobby Renovations

The lobby facing Akadémia utca received the same flooring as the traditional side, while the conference room was separated from the lobby area by a glass wall.

The two lobby areas will be connected, creating a spacious and modern floor plan, allowing all building services to be accessible to tenants from both wings. Visitors will also be able to recognize the artworks of graduates from Mome (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) in both reception areas.

The audiovisual technology for the conference room is currently being installed and will be operational starting from the end of July. This means that for meetings and events with a capacity of 12 to 60 people, Academia’s clients will have access to the latest conference and meeting technology.

Underground Developments

The renovation of the underground parking garage emphasizes modern solutions and technology. New rapid entrance gates and a license plate recognition system promote easier access to the underground parking garage, while LED lighting, epoxy resin flooring and painting work on the four basement levels complete the transformation.

Developers also focused on introducing changing rooms and secure bicycle storage facilities available to cyclists, enhancing the convenience of employees commuting on two wheels.
