Moldova Industrial Output Rebounds in August

Moldova's industrial production rose 2.4% year-on-year in August, after two consecutive months of declines and compared to a 14.3% drop in July, Trading Economics reported citing data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Production increased for manufacturing by 2.7% (vs -15.4% in July) and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply by 0.6% (vs -2.4%).

Conversely, output decreased for mining and quarrying by 1.1% (vs -6.2%). On a monthly comparison basis, industrial production fell by 0.6% in August, following 6.9% drop in the previous month.
