Output accelerated for mining & quarrying (3.6% vs 0.4% in March), while it rebounded for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (10.1% vs -4.4%).
At the same time, output fell at softer pace for manufacturing (-5.7% vs -6.3%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production tumbled 1.5% in April, reversing a downwardly revised 1.1% rise in the prior month.
