Under the agreement, SEEL will supply about 200 million cubic meters of natural gas annually. The deal marks a significant step in strengthening SEEL’s commercial presence in Central and Eastern Europe while ensuring long-term supply security for MVM CEEnergy’s end-user portfolio.
The partnership also increases flexibility through diversified supply points, both sides noted.
“We are pleased to be able to supply natural gas to MVM CEEnergy in Central Europe, thereby contributing to strengthening energy supply security in the region and for our commercial partners,” said Bob Kijkuit, vice president at Shell Energy Europe Limited.
“The long-term partnership between SEEL and MVM CEEnergy is an important milestone in our efforts to diversify our natural gas portfolio,” said Gábor Orbán, CEO of MVM CEEnergy. “The agreement enables us to sustainably strengthen gas supply in Central Europe over the long term.”
