Car ownership climbs in Hungary

There were 78 passenger cars per 100 households in Hungary last year, up from 54 a decade earlier, consumer durables data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

The data show 75 of those cars were owned by households and not part of a corporate fleet.

There were 27 dishwashers per 100 households last year, up from 10 in 2010.

he number of laptops per hundred households climbed to 76 from 19 during the period, while the number of PCs fell to 39 from 49.

The number of air-conditioning units per hundred households increased to 14 from four.
