Competition

GREENWILL, an EuCham initiative, is launching a Kickstarter campaign for its smartphone app dubbed GreenAdvisor on July 13, with the hopes of collecting enough funding to begin development and beta testing for the application, a press release said yesterday.

Consumers would be able to rate any business on how “green” their services are by using the proposed application. With this app, “people everywhere, will have the power to help change corporate attitudes and practices for a cleaner planet,” the press release said.

The service will be free and creators expect immediate results from the “socially-driven” and “web-based” mobile application.

Akvárium Klub Official will host a campaign launching ceremony on July 13, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

GREENWILLis an EuCham non-profit global initiative that offers a free standardized environmental policy ("Green Policy”) to organizations, companies and individuals to encourage them to become more environmentally friendly in their everyday operations. The Greenwill initiative has members in more than 100 countries.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
