A 39-year-old Hungarian woman fell ill on the festival grounds, apparently because of the heat, and required resuscitation, police said in response to an inquiry from state news agency MTI.
The festival’s medical staff were unable to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly afterward, a 45-year-old American man climbed onto a stage structure and jumped. He died from his injuries.
Based on the information gathered so far, police suspect that he died by suicide.
Both cases remain under investigation.
