Startup Safari Budapest 2024 Begins

Conferences

Today marks the start of one of the region's largest startup gatherings, Startup Safari Budapest. On "Day Zero" of the conference, Capital Portal and Impact Hub Budapest will focus on the drivers of sustainable development in the startup ecosystem: incubation and crowdfunding. The event will continue with presentations, panel discussions, and a pitch competition on June 11.

Starting tomorrow, the programs will take place in various venues including Create 26, NIÜ, STRT, Loffice, ELTE GTK, Corvinus University of Budapest, Kubik, Start it @K&H, Adaptér and Kliq Coffice. The venues will offer a variety of presentations, workshops, and networking events. Participants will have the opportunity to meet key players in the startup world.

This year's conference, held in collaboration with NIÜ, HSUP, OUVC, Digitaltech EDIH, will focus on exploring what the Hungarian startup world looks like and where it stands internationally.

In addition to venture capital investment, other alternative sources of funding will be discussed, with speakers from MFOI, Creative Europe and various EIT industry program leaders such as EIT Culture and Creativity, EIT Health, EIT KIC Digital and GreenBrother (the Hungarian partners of EIT InnoEnergy and Urban Mobility). In addition, most representatives of the Hungarian incubator scene and some international players, as well as key representatives of the crowdfunding market, will give an informative presentation on current funding opportunities.

One of the highlights of the event will be the live OXO Coffee Break podcast, which will be available live at Create 26: Péter Oszkó will be in conversation with Petya Balogh, Zoltán Györkő, László Hradszki, Balázs Szabó and Péter Csillag.

In addition to the live podcast recording, there will also be a number of other interesting activities. OXO Technologies Holding will also allow access to a public board meeting, and presentations will be given by renowned experts such as Elemér Eszter (HVCA), Imre Hild (OUVC), Alíz Markovits (Veszprém-Balaton 2023 Zrt. ) and Péter Langmár (STRT). This year, the Reverse Pitch will be another exciting part of the conference, where investors will be in front of startups to present their opportunities, strengths, and advantages.

In addition, the Safari will offer entrepreneurs and startups the opportunity to meet investors and financial professionals in person during speed mentoring sessions organized by MBH Fintechlab and STRT. The workshops will also be highly interactive knowledge-sharing sessions, with help to understand their own business processes, practical tips on many useful topics from product development to marketing, but also a strong focus on self-awareness and personal skills development, as well as mental health.

Tickets can be purchased at https://tixa.hu/startup-safari-2024 and the detailed program is available on the conference website (https://startupsafaribudapest.eu/).
