According to a statement, Navracsics noted that EU member states have not yet had the opportunity to express their positions on the 2028-2033 draft budget.

The draft budget, as proposed this summer, merges cohesion, agricultural, and rural development policies into a single fund.

At Tuesday’s meeting, attended by cohesion policy officials from 11 EU countries, participants agreed that while efforts to streamline and add flexibility to the MFF are appreciated, the lack of clear objectives in the draft raises doubts.
