With its newly completed expansion, Dr. Rose Private Hospital now offers more than 2,800 square meters of inpatient space, housing four operating theaters and 44 patient rooms. The new section includes two additional modular “matrix” operating rooms and 22 premium single or double rooms, designed to provide a combination of advanced medical care and comfort.

“The expansion represents a new phase for the hospital,” said Dr. Kornél Papik, CEO of Dr. Rose Private Hospital. “In addition to increasing capacity, we have also moved to a new level in patient safety and innovation. The investment also strengthens our position as a private healthcare provider at the forefront of quality and patient experience.”

According to Papik, the number of surgical procedures performed at Dr. Rose is expected to exceed 4,000 per year by 2026, up from nearly 3,000 in 2024. “In 2026, at least 30 specialists will perform surgeries regularly in the hospital,” he added.

The two new operating rooms have been equipped with the most modern HyLED X9 LED surgical lights and integrated HD camera systems, which enable documentation, education, and telemedicine consultation. The facility also includes a mobile X-ray unit that allows imaging directly in the operating theater, along with a completely separated, sterilizable corridor system designed for optimal infection control.

A new postoperative observation unit ensures continuous patient monitoring, particularly for elderly patients or those recovering from complex surgeries. Each nurse is responsible for only four to five patients at a time, supported by advanced monitoring and resuscitation equipment.

“The musculoskeletal field is one of the most dynamically developing areas of medicine,” emphasized Prof. Dr. László Hangody, Medical Director of Dr. Rose Private Hospital. “The new surgical unit and the new ward serve this specialization directly, with infrastructure and equipment that meet the highest international standards.”

The new section also houses a dedicated sterilization and laundry unit equipped with Getinge technology, allowing for complete in-house control of hygiene and sterilization processes.

“Functionality, technology, and aesthetics all come together here,” said Dr. Papik. “Every detail, from the equipment to the interior design, was chosen with patient recovery in mind. We believe that the healing process begins the moment a patient enters the hospital.”

The patient rooms, offering views of the Danube, the Chain Bridge, and Buda Castle, are equipped with Stiegelmeyer Evario hospital beds, ensuring both comfort and safety. Each room features individual climate control, natural light, and calming interior design with Hungarian artwork.

The new operating rooms also support medical education, as the integrated camera systems allow real-time broadcasting of operations for teaching and professional training purposes.

“The expansion opens a new chapter in the hospital’s history,” concluded Dr. Papik. “Our goal is to combine advanced medical technology with a patient-centered approach that ensures both safety and comfort at the highest level.”
