The event will take place on June 21 in Tabajd.
The idea for this event was born in the minds of Andrea Nagy, CEO of United Way Hungary, and Edit Ivanics, organizer of the Diplomatic Polo Cup. Their simple and noble goal is to support the development of reading skills among disadvantaged children through the proceeds of the picnic. Nearly a quarter of Hungarian students are functionally illiterate, meaning they don’t understand what they read. This must be changed.
The venue is the Tabajd polo field, and guests can look forward not only to an exciting match but also to a classic hat contest, children’s activities, entertainment, and stylish hospitality, supported by Harsányi Winery, François champagne, and Nespresso.
“This is not just a sports event – it’s about our future,” said Edit Ivanics. The United Way educational programs involve hundreds of children and educators every year, aiming to give them a real chance to progress through carefully developed methods and encouraging books.
Andrea Nagy shared that everyone who is drawn to equestrian sports, appreciates nature, and cares about our children’s future is warmly welcome at the Family Polo Picnic. Participation is not only an experience but also an opportunity: proceeds from ticket sales directly support United Way’s “Reading Literacy” program, so every attendance counts.
If you enjoy meaningful social events where style and purpose go hand in hand, don’t miss the Family Polo Picnic.
