Mohu, a unit of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL that has a nationwide municipal waste management concession, noted that more than 80% of refunds, more than HUF 80 bln, have been paid in the form of shop vouchers, Mohu said.
Between 15% and 20% of refunds have been transferred directly to users’ bank accounts using the REpont mobile application, and close to HUF 200 million has been offered for charity, Mohu said.
There is a HUF 50 deposit on bottles and cans included in the DRS.
