MNB’s new management wants Hungarian companies to have access to a capital market that is more advanced, liquid and transparent in future, he added.

Varga noted that Hungarian households’ holdings of listed shares had quintupled over the past ten years, reaching HUF 2.9 trillion.

At the same time, the equities market has tripled in size with 43 new listings, he added.
