However, cultural diversity and genre variety will remain Sziget’s greatest attraction. Many performers are already familiar, but now some truly exciting non-musical programs have arrived as well.

“Visitors will be welcomed by a visually and programmatically renewed Sziget festival at the beginning of August,” predicted Tamás Kádár, the festival’s chief organizer, “which will already be reflected in the captivating visual elements of the K-bridge and the experience of arrival.”

Kádár added: “It is a constant challenge to maintain our place among the leaders of the international competition, while the consumption habits of culture, expectations for festival experiences, and the economic environment have continually pushed and continue to push us towards change. This is why we decided that, following a multi-year strategy, we would take a big step forward this year.”

“We will implement developments, updates, and changes that, while preserving the essential values of Sziget – vibrant cultural offerings and musical diversity – will place a strong emphasis on creative solutions. At the same time, by rethinking the program structure, we aim to provide continuous experiences for festival-goers almost 24 hours a day. Meanwhile, it remains our firm goal to keep the financial possibilities of our domestic audience in mind, as we did, for example, with discounted ticket options and the introduction of a “budget-friendly” food offering. Continuing this, this year the early bird day tickets can be purchased at even lower prices than last year,” said the chief organizer.

Nearly 80 names from this year’s music lineup are already known, and more will be announced soon. However, the first non-musical programs that will shape Sziget’s unique offering have arrived. For example, there will once again be Walkabouts, including the return of the Troula Street Theater, who will depict the challenges of the modern world in the form of a beehive, showcasing humanity’s abuses on Earth. The performance is complemented with live music, giant puppets, and pyrotechnics, offering an impressive show that is definitely not to be missed. The circus big top, which is moving to a new location this year, the Cirque du Sziget, will also bring a Japanese production: in the performance titled Yoah, the combination of traditional Japanese instruments and electronic music, stunning lights and visual effects, as well as the jaw-dropping tricks of incredibly talented acrobats, will come together.

In 2025, the popular venue Magic Mirror will also move to a new location, where it will present a fantastic performance combining circus tricks with humor. The Yuck Circus, with all-female performers, will address everything that is considered overly macho both on stage and in everyday life, showcasing the greatest challenges and sometimes frustrating problems in the lives of young women. And with more sequins, surprises, and the greatest pop and disco hits, the world’s one of the most successful stage productions, Queenz – The Show, is coming.

Kádár emphasized that, based on the announcements so far, this year’s music lineup promises to be very strong, fresh, and exciting. There are names such as Chappell Roan, who won the Grammy for Best New Artist this year, Charli XCX, who was nominated for seven Grammy Awards this year, winning two of them, and recently five Brit Awards, Anyma, known from Tale of Us, operating at the fascinating intersection of music and technology, A$AP Rocky, who will soon release a new album, Post Malone and Shawn Mendes, who is also coming with new album.

The chief organizer mentioned that the daily selection is already visible on the Sziget website, and day tickets for the festival can now be purchased. “Every day at Sziget there will be world-class musicians, DJs, popular favorites, exciting musical specialties, and various artistic productions. However, we have designed the starting prices for the day tickets so that they will still be no more expensive than a ticket for an international star’s arena concert, and in fact, this year they cost less than last year, which is why we expect a rush in our webshop in the coming days,” added the chief organizer.
