In December of last year, the financial institution announced its comprehensive ESG program “Sustainable Future Bank” spanning several years in order to protect our natural habitats and animal species and to achieve Hungary’s climate goals.

MBH Bank launched programs involving domestic national parks and took important steps to ensure responsible service provision. The financial institution also placed significant emphasis on ESG-based education among its employees.

In order to support biodiversity, the bank also entered into cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and launched a joint program with Hungary’s 10 national parks. In the framework of MBH’s forest and tree planting campaigns, 13,000 native tree seedlings were planted last year with the involvement of the bank’s employees.

In addition to years of support from the National Beekeeping Association, a new green corporate account package was launched in 2023 in cooperation with the Hungarian Ornithological Association, which helps protect endangered blue wrens by planting nests after each new account.
