Through July 2013, full-time employees’ average gross nominal earnings amounted to HUF 228,400; within this, those of full-time employees in the business sector were equal to HUF 239,600.
In the national economy, average gross nominal earnings grew by 3.2% compared with the same period in 2012. Average gross earnings grew by 3.5% in the business sector. In the public sector, average gross earnings increased by 3.7%, while at non-profit institutions, average gross earnings rose by 2.2% to HUF 207,300.
But that’s before taxes. For the January-to-July period, average net earnings (excluding family tax benefits) were up 4.6% to HUF 149,600; HUF 103,600 was the average manual laborer’s monthly salary, while white-collar workers took home HUF 198,300.
